Budapest Music Tour

Don't forget this used to be my profession...

Liszt Ferenc, Bartók Béla, Kodály Zoltán. Does any of them sound familiar to you? Did you know they were Hungarian? Liszt's virtuoso piano playing, Bartók's powerful music like the Bluebird's Castle, and Kodály's solfege – solmisation system are known in the entire world. We visit the exhibitions of these musitians in the very buildings where they had lived and composed!

Learn about inside secrets: I can also arrange a visit to an instrument, or chamber-music class at the Franz Liszt Music Academy.

Private piano recital!

Just for you!

Unbelievable, but a world-class pianist of classical music Adam Fellegi invites you into his own home, and gives you a private concert! He would even play your favourite pieces... He does not only create the intimate athmosphere of great, professional performers, but with his fascinating explanations he gives you an insight into pieces, so you will discover and understand them much better. Besides, this may be a never returning oppotunity to visit the home of a real Hungarian in the center of Budapest... .

One of the noumerous testimonials:

"Dear Mr. Fellegi,

The experience of the home concert was very moving emotionally. I have attended many classical concerts, orchestra and chamber music, but have never had the feeling of (such) direct connection with the performer and the music provided by the home concert. I have never heard such expression of emotion in a piano performance, as I heard last night. Your ability to engage and communicate with the audience is a very special gift. The venue of your apartment provided such a warm, intimate atmosphere that I will always remember. Last night was the high-light of my time in Budapest."

Affordable even for couples...

Budapest Children's Train

The biggest toy in the world:a real train that takes 400 000 passangers a year. Be one of them...!

The Children's Train belongs to the Hungarian Railway. It is entirely operated by enthusiastic children age 10-14! They are given the dream of children-life: a real train for their disposition…! This as a narrow-track, but normal size train that takes 400 thousand passengers a year! The line is 11 km long, has 9 stations, 1 tunnel, 2 viaducts, and 1 level crossing with a bar, 2 steam locomotives and 8 diesel locomotives, 1 railcar and 22 carriages.
A local expert will introduce the Children's Train to you, who happens to be my 11-year-old son...This trip takes you around in the Budapest hills, where almost no tourists go, but which is a favourite recreation place of locals. We combine light hiking with interesting and unusual vehicules.
The chair lift takes us to the highest lookout tower of Budapest.
To round up the tour, we come back to the city by the cog-railway. It's
sceenic track connects the "Beverly Hills" of Budapest with the city.
